Fresh, filtered water – around 92-96 degrees

French Press or Cafetiere

We recommend using a coffee:water ratio of 1:16.6 (60g coffee:1000ml water). If you prefer a heavier bodied more intense coffee, you can reduce this to 1:15.

One

Add ground coffee to the brewer.

Two

Add all your water to the brewer in one go ensuring all the coffee grinds are wet and stir until the grinds are incorporated

Three

Set the top on your brewer, but don’t press yet!

Four

Leave the coffee to brew for 4 minutes.

Five

Carefully and slowly press the plunger through your brew until it reaches the bottom.

Six

Serve or decant immediately to avoid over extracting your coffee.

TIP

If you prefer a cleaner cup with less sediment, before pressing the plunger remove the top of the brewer and using two spoons, scrape off the top crusted layer on the brewer before pressing.
